This 102-hour/16 week Pharmacy Technician Certificate program is designed for you to prepare to work as a pharmacy technician in hospitals, clinics or local pharmacies.  Upon successful completion of this program, you will be eligible to sit for the Virginia Board of Pharmacy state exam and the national Pharmacy Technician Certificate Exam (PTCE) through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB).   Entry-level employment as a pharmacy technician in Virginia requires certification.  You are highly encouraged to seek internships or work experience while completing this program training to further employment opportunities.
