Marine Electrician Course

Students will learn the importance of first time quality and quality work in general, basic ship terms and compartmentation, basic math (including using fractions and 1/10ths of an inch), equipment mounting techniques and the use of basic hand tools, ruler reading/basic measurement, cableway and cable installation, cable cut-in and hook-up practices (USN style receptacles, lighting, power distribution boxes (single and 3 phase) and connection boxes, and electrical safety-An understanding of the NNS process to perform an Absence of Voltage check.
