The following course, provided by Virginia Peninsula Community College and facilitated by the Peninsula Regional Education Program, is a preparatory Healthcare Bootcamp designed to prepare participants for enrollment in and successful completion of a VPCC Workforce Development healthcare training program. Core competencies covered in the course include digital literacy, soft skills development, financial literacy, and cognitive behavioral strategies.
The bootcamp utilizes a comprehensive Integrated Education and Training (IET) model that integrates adult education, workforce preparation, and occupational training. Instruction and support services are delivered concurrently, enabling participants to develop the academic, technical, and professional skills necessary for success in both training and employment. Upon successful completion of the bootcamp/course, participants will earn a Northstar Digital Literacy certification.
